I am no different in my quest to find that perfect place. After doing a lot of research and talking to a lot of outfitters there comes a time when you have to make a decision. And when you have a hunting partner trying to please everyone can be a tuff decision After picking a guided elk hunt in Montana, choosing an outfitter that you don't know and waiting 8 months to go, you hope you have made the right decision. So read on, as this was one of the best-guided hunts my
partner and I have ever been on.

We chose Bitterroot Outfitters from Hamilton, Montana.

We arrived in Montana and were picked up by our guide Dan; he brought us to the trailhead where we met Tom Henderson and his crew. After going over where we would be hunting, what they expected from us and how much game was around, it was time to get going. We rode mules into the mountains to the camp where we would spend the next 5 to 6 days. The guide Dan told us about the hunt and what we would be doing in our endeavor to find and harvest an elk. The rut was in full swing and our broad heads were sharp. We had spent hours tuning our bows, going over our equipment, and mentally and physically preparing ourselves for this trip. It was not a let down. The camp was first rate, the food was good and the hunting was terrific. Dan our guide is a hunter himself and his knowledge of elk and the country we hunted allowed us to cover some of the best elk habitat we have ever hunted. We were in elk everyday but one. The bulls were bugling and the weather cooperated to make our hunt a memory that will never be forgotten.
If you are looking for a great elk hunt give Tom a call,
and when you get back let us know how it was.

Another hunting season and another decision, they go hand and hand and a choice has to be made. Choosing an outfitter in the pursuit of big game can be over whelming, there are hundreds or thousands of choices and each offers the same basic services. If you know exactly what you want in can be easy, if your not sure it is hard to make that decision. We hunted with Bitterroot Outfitters in Montana last year for elk and deer. We had a great hunt, an excellent guide, and a good camp. We enjoyed the area we hunted.

We saw game every day and were able to harvest an elk. This year we chose Bitterroot Outfitters again because there was no question about what we wanted out of a hunt. Bitterroot Outfitters did it again and we had another great hunt. The elk were bugling and we were ready. Bow hunting at its best.

If your looking for an area where you don’t want to see other hunters, don’t want to be bothered by other distractions consider booking with Bitterroot Outfitters.

Sportsman’s Choice is offering a $100.00 discount if you book with Bitterroot Outfitters. Check it out.

It was one of those days when you know you want to go fishing and the report is that the fish are biting. So we chartered Albatross Fishing Charters out of Kenosha, Wisconsin. Captain Ken warned us about the high winds and waves, but we were determined to try it anyway. Big lake fishing on a windy day can be uncomfortable to say the least. We went out on lake Michigan with 5 to 6 foot rolling waves. The fish were biting and we caught 11 fish in 3 hours.  We had a good time the crew did a great job landing the fish, cleaning the fish and teaching us how to fish for salmon and trout. If you are looking for a charter on lake Michigan give Captain Ken a call at (877) 654-8999.  You won’t be disappointed with the service. I will recommend taking the captains advise on the weather and conditions when making the decision to go out on a big lake. Below are some of the pictures we took on the boat. Let us know about your trip and send some pictures. We will put these on our web site.

It was one of those days on the coast of Florida when you want to go fishing and hook onto a sailfish, the report is that the fish are indeed biting, and the weather perfect.  So we chartered New Moon III Sport Fishing Charters out of N. Miami Beach, Florida.  Captain Jack and his mate Richie did a great job. We had 3 sailfish on and landed one. We also caught mahi mahi and had some other unknown fish on that we never got to see. The boat was clean and well equipped with all the gear we needed. Captain Jack and his crew explained what we were fishing for and why we were at this location.  We had a great time and I would recommend New Moon III to anyone who wants a real deep sea fishing adventure. There are many charters in this area and we chose New Moon III Sport Fishing from N. Miami Beach, Florida out of the Haulover Marina.
